Mysuru's History in Golf
Golf in Mysuru has deep roots:
- In 1906, the late Maharaja Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar selected the foothills of the Chamundi Hills for combining race- and golf-courses on about 110 acres.
- The club later became the Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club (JWGC), which formally took up management in the late 1980s and 1990s
- Major redesign in 1996 by Pacific Coast Design (Australia) upgraded the course to modern standards. opulentroutes.com+1
- Today, JWGC is a well-recognized 18-hole par-70/72 course, set in a heritage locale and attracting both local and visiting golfers.
